me and my bad luck

    oil is leaking out of the dipstick extension where it enters the block cause i put the protector tube in backwards, i know i know i shouldnt of done that, however i just went at it with that gasket maker in a bottle crap, and now its leaking, ne suggestions? will silicon rtv help any?

    I would....

    Drain all of the oil...if its new oil buy a new container to drain it into

    use carb cleaner or engine degreaser to clean the matting surfaces

    clean the allen bolts then go at it again with fresh sealant and take your time to make sure you don't pinch the dipstick tube and get a good grip on the tube...tighten it down and it should stop unless the tube is bent -- allowign oil an esacpe-- or if you somehow --i'd think is unlikely-- bent the clamp side
