I've got a 71 now and I really want to fix that one up and make it nice but I came across a really nice low mileage 85 k5 that would make a great project. There are two problems with it however, one is that the transmission makes a clicking sound from the front so that'll have to be resolved and second is the nasty red interior :eek1: . I'm not worried about the tranny as i'm pretty mechanically capable of fixing it. It also has the 305, it runs great but i'm sure something else will be in the works if I get it. AC works great too.

Oh and it already has a 4 inch procomp lift ( all spring, no blocks ) and 35 bfg mt with only about 300 miles.

Financially if all goes well i'll hopefully pick it up in a few weeks ( gotta pay off one loan first ).

It's wierd, I don't even own it but i've got a huge list of things that'll get done to it.:D

The truck is a friends and it's in Sabinal (out 90 heading west, if you don't know). It's not listed anywhere, just a friend thing. Oh and it's 2k, a little more towards my price range.

hope it works out and i like your 71 too, you should check out saoffroad.com and come wheel with us every once in a while.

for the clicking sound check the torque convertor bolts. when they loosen up they make a clicking sound. I thought my transmission was about to quit when it happened to me.

Sweet I didn't even know it exsisted. I grew up in Universal City and within the last year moved out to Blanco and 1604 so i'm up in your area pretty often. It's hard to miss me in my 71, dark blue, white top.

I registered at that site and posted up some pics for them to see, thanks for showing me the page.

I was thinking the same thing, it'll be something I check before I buy it.
