He admitted to burning down a piston 2 years ago. Tore the engine down after each season. It is fresh with one 110 gas only run on it. Needs the torque converter swapped to run a squirt again. Comes with 3 converters. Also has a set of paddle tires that go with it. He ran one dirt drag with it last year.

He also said it will run around town on 92 octane pump gas. I have 95 octane non ethanol 1/2 a mile from my house.

Do you know if it is a GM block or aftermarket?

It's a powerglide. I don't remember who he said produced the block. Not GM.

I like both, and drag racing is less cleanup after than wheeling, and you get to go faster with the same power because its lighter and more traction. But they are both fun!

Last year a buddy of mine had a clapped out 5 liter mustang we would run at the late night drags,best it would do was 14 flat,but we had a lot of fun with that,and we are both not needing to be the fastest guy anymore,just enjoy motor sports,thinking about getting back into dirt bikes as well,last one was a cr500,feel like trying to find a trail friendly 4 stroke now,

This is me. I would give anything to be back on a KTM. But with what we have spent on joints in my body, that's a no.

I built a few cars over the years...69 Road Runner, 71 Challenger...the last one was a 71 Chevelle.

I’ve alway had a 4x4 for obvious reasons but I have gone the other way. I rescued my 69 K5 from the 2WD conversion someone started.

Go for it...you could have both versions & do whatever your feeling like on any given day.
Best of both worlds...both expensive hobbies
