anyways, here are some pics of the work i've done with a couple of measurements that i've pulled after doing some of the machine work on the hubs:
I'll make sure to report back as things continue to happen:
Both hubs machined down .500". Diameters check out to an average of 5.087" on both.
Here is a picture comparing a stock hub to a machined one:
Material thickness from new machined surface to the inner diameter is .172"
Here are the plasma cut brackets using Patooyee's provided .dxf file. Holes still need final clean up but they turned out super clean.
I will be picking up the rotors this week and begin the milling work on them this weekend. I will post up pics and dimensions of the finished product.

only thing i dont like after reading his thread is the caliper pistion area he ground the he!! out of. 
i would turn down the wheel/hub body a little to keep from removing that much of the caliper pistion body area.

I think i am going to do a couple things differently once i actually get my hands on a caliper and mounting bracket. This could also possibly change the actual plasma cut bracket as well. Thanks for the insight, and i'll see what i can do about addressing it.

just a little update.. i got some brackets in from ballistic fab on friday. I started welding them in today. Getting everything level was a ton of fun. Now i have to match the other side.

not too much of an update but its something, lol. it was hell trying to remove the rockwell steering arm because the cone washers were seized in there pretty good. I ended up using a sawzall to cut the two remaining studs then proceeded to drill them out so i could remove the arm and start to weld on the other link and coil bracket.
Here are some weld pictures. I'm still learning but they are turning out decent i think.
I also got the rotors for the disc brakes on friday, and i will be machining out the centers this week and if i can find time i will chuck them up on a mill and drill out the bolt pattern (which i believe is 8 on 5.5625" for anyone who wants to do this as well). As always, i'll post up as stuff happens. I should be able to finish welding soon (i still have to machine out my dummy spacers so i can pinch the tab portions of the brackets together a little bit so they are nice and snug for the hiem joints).

beautiful welds my friend. wish i had that kind of skills with my arc (i know your using a mig i just dont have one big enough)

If you tip the nozzle on your welder a bit more upright you will change the shape of those welds from

The "pointiness" comes from the tip being a bit too "laid-down".... A lot of my early welds looked that way too. Now that I've done some fine tuning with my gun angle I'm getting more of the popular "stack of dimes" look.

Rocks rock! Project looks killer so far.
BTW on that Toyota I'd go to a 39-40 to take full advantage of those 1 tons...too bad its your dd if not 42s would be rocking.

Awesome, thanks for the tips! I will give that a shot next time! I appreciate all the kind words from you all, and i'll make sure to keep everyone posted as more stuff happens.

I've seen your k5 on pirate (in the rockwell thread) and was totally digging it! do you have a build thread going on here (or there)?
As for the toyota, i unfortanately dont have the tons any more and i'm just focusing on getting the k5 going again and actually making it a functional 4wd, lol.
