Home made Runza. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm * Bread-frozen or made in bread machine * 1 pound hamburger * 1 head cabbage * 1 onion * cheese 1. Prepare bread dough * In a bread machine, you will need 2 batches of your Basic White Bread * If using frozen bread loaves, thaw them & you will need several of them 2. Chop cabbage & onion & saute them in a skillet with a little oil until tender 3. In another skillet, brown hamburger 4. While the skillets are doing their thing, prepare the bread dough, by rolling it out to the size of runza you will want. * For a meal size runza, roll out about a 6 inch circle * For smaller portions (for kids) roll out a 4 inch circle 5. Combine hamburger with cabbage/onion mixture, stir to mix thoroughly. 6. Place about 3-4 Tblsp. of mixture in center of bread dough, add desired amount of cheese. 7. Fold sides of dough over mixture & seal edges 8. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes or till bread is golden brown..You can freeze runzas and reheat easily.
