so when me and t-dawg went to the meeting that was held here in junction we talked to a blm rep and he showed us on a map that most of the closures were north of moab but he could of lied i spose

Even if it's not the EJS trails, I don't want to see areas closed just beccause someone at the BLM feels like it. We've got to try and stop this - otherwise everybody better get in shape for hiking and mountain biking because more and more trails are going to disappear. Plus I'm getting more interested in exploring and seeing the backcountry around Moab rather than running just the rockcrawling trails of EJS/CM/BB.

im not say that im not worried bout it but the area he showed us was north of the interstate were no one gos anyway theyve been doin drillin up

Actually the closures are actually trails no one is using now and trails that are.... Lets say man maid ones blow out trails if you will. Trails the F/S and BLM Want to either rehab or in some cases designate to the Oil Fields. Good thing in the since that if we want a trail in an area then all we have to do is ASK and Monitor that trail area.
there are 1.3 Million Acres being built for our use right now... well actually they are still in some planning stages and they are for all types of OHV's. We have a voice and we need to use it.

Yeah, and when they're closed, no one will ever be able to go there again because closures rarely get reversed.

Tyrone, I'm not sure if you're saying that this one isn't worth wasting a voice on. But I'd rather not 'trade' open space for some promise that some other space will be kept open.

Deadline's today, seems no one's interested. Not much more to say.

Nope that is not what I am saying. The Problem is we are faced with either OHV space or no space, even here in Western CO we are no longer OPEN SPACE as far as go where you want. We are in a Preservation stage meaning we can still go on those here and there roads just the ones that are causing erosion and not so used need to be rehabilitated. Or nature will take it out for us then there will be nothing. I am no expert thease are my opinions backed by a few hard facts. I don't agree with it all as far as our land being taken. But the land being preserved for my daughter and any Grand Children I ever have is Fine by me.
Your points are valid. WE still need education and communication. Take a GPS out Mark the routes you want and see send them to your local f/s or BLM office and go with a battle plan. It works. And No, The Voice needs to be spoken but to the right people as a unified voice.
