A friend of mine has a very well built single car hauler, 20 ft long, with 2 brake equiped 6000k torsion axles for sale at a decent price but I need to be able to haul 2 trucks at a time.

I was thinking of using it as a base to add a third matching axle to, and extend it both ways a bit to handle a fullsize K5 and a jeep.

The other thing I was thinking about was doing a gooseneck on it.

I have good fab skills and a healthy dose of engineering logic so it wouldn't be a rigged up safety nightmare.

I have seen some crazy heavy loads on pintle pulled trailers, would that be an option?

The tow rig weighs 8140 with a tank of fuel and me, and I figure the trailer and load to be about 12-14k lbs

Am I crazy for wanting to try it?

Go gooseneck and by the time you get it done cost wize you would be better off buying one new so yup your crazy:D
Really though you would have to add like ten feet or so and re-engineer the whole thing, might not be worth it. But it really depends on what your getting the other for $

I could pick this one up for 800
So plus 500 for another axle, I already have a set of wheels and tires, plus the steel, I think max cost could be kept under 2500.00
