Ok I found a '73 Chevy for $500. It is '84 body on '73 frame. He said it was a 3/4 ton but he might not know. It would have the 14 bolt in back but what are the different ways to tell the difference between a DANA 60 and Dana 44? He wants $500 and it has a good looking winch bumper on the front. Also has some good body panels to sell!

    Dana 44:

You can look at the web on the center section casting, some have either 44 or 60 cast into them. Also you can measure between the vertical set of bolts on the cover, the Dana 44 is 3 3/8" between the bolts, on the Dana 60 the distance between these same bolts is more.

    Dana 60:

Also on the Dana 60 the steering arm is held on with 4 studs instead of 3 studs like the Dana 44.

    Hpoe that helps.
