I'm goin to try and make it to the mounds today if any one wants to stop out.
Nice to give a little notice.
Just got the blazer put back togetter that day.
Had to take it out and try to brake some thing new.
Now I need a new starter. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Understandable. How was it? Any pictures? Stories?
No pics I forgot my digital camerea. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif
But I manage to get stuck in the only mud hold I could find.
I think I need some 52' tires now. /forums/images/icons/ooo.gif
Where did you get stuck? I know the Mounds real good, so if you describe it, I can probably tell where you were. I cant wait to get back there again. I will post when I go back. Hopefully you can make it then too.
Are there many trails at the mounds that a fullsize will fit down? Whenever I've ever gone there I usually just play in the open mudholes and field type areas.
Mud is the main thing, but there is more to the Mounds, not a lot, but there is more. And more coming each time I go. Yeah, the trails are tight, but what trails are not tight in a full size. If I can take my Blazer on 44s down it... almost anyone can. You will get some custom striping, but hay...thats wheelign.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Yeah, I've been down a few trails back in the woods arround there, but had to turn back because I was dragging the plowmount on the truck I was in... only thing is that I couldn't "turn" back... I had to back out of the trail.
Not trying to be a jerk here at all... but.... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif
Thats your problem... the plow attachemnt!!!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Just giving you a hard time.
Yeah I know I know... it wasn't my truck though. We planned to go wheeling that day and I was gonna ride, but a buddy of mine said "Hey, I'm sick of looking at that 82' just sitting there. You wanna wheel it?"
I was in the back where it opens up some.
And most of the time there is a mud pit about 3 trucks wide and about 50 yards long. I was to the right of that in the field out in the middle some. It was the only thing I found with water. Didn't look like much at all. So I just walked in it not giveing it gas at all. made it about halfway. Back up. Gave it some gas this time. Went right back to half way agian. And couldn't back up but about 4 feet. The funny thing it thats I couldn't open my door. Thats a first for me. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif If there was aother fullsize there I would of tryed rockin it out. I just didn't want to get to deep with only A jeep with me. I would hate to have to unhook the trailer and brake out the tow truck. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
Hey ken where at in MI are you?
And did you see me at Attica ?
I just looked at your web page and seen you where there.
I am in south east MI. East of Pontiac area.
At Attica we camped right by you guys. I was going to come over to talk to you the night you pulled in, but there were too many people over there, and I was lazy. I didnt see you on the trails, except I did see you bury it pretty good in the mud near the rock crawling. Think I even have a picture. What triles did you do in Attica?
We did the pink and orange I think. I was with a group of Jeeps /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif , as you saw from the pictures.
Oh man the first night I got there alittle late. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Had all kinds of fun getting there in 9 hours. LOL
You should of came over. I hope we didn't keep you up any of the nights. I think we did get loud at times.
As for trails. The first day I stayed out in the open on my own with that red hammer. Had to run to napa for some new parts and didn't get back in time for a trail ride.
The next day I did the same trails as you, But with all fullsizes. I love the tubes. I think if i had any more air in my tires I wouldn't of made it. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
As for tires they are the same ones I'm running now. 44x19.5x16.5 boggers.
And if you find that pic let me know. I wish I would of hit that hole from the other side. But I did make it farther than that green jeep. Next time I'll try it again.
