Mouthwater truck...

few things off on truck .

as said not orignal hood .

and biggest thing to me is why is there a auto steering colume in there and then says th350 with 203 . ? wrong driveline. but best part look to the right /driverside in engine bay pic. it has a hydro clutch master bolted to the firewall. :eek1::whistle::popcorn:

The pics don't show a 203 shifter. Its clearly a 208. The seller or owner probably didn't know what they have or someone made the 8 look like a 3.

I'd bet the 350 tranny was swapped in place of a 700R4. Not sure what to say about that hydro clutch in the pic let alone if it actually is that.

Its still a nice truck and I wouldn't mind having it but not for $7500. I'd probably give $5K tops, no more.

Easier to leave the master on, than to plug the hole.

I wonder if there is a hole in the carpet under that cup holder thingy

Id bet the auto was swapped in place of the stick.
If he did, he did a good and thorough job of swapping out the steering column and brake pedals for an automatic.

Frankly if I had that truck, I would have left the 465 in it. And swapped the SBC out for a 250 inline 6. :D

Fuel economy! Why else?

I had an '81 SWB K10 with a 250, 465, 208 and 3.73's and this truck got 18 mpg. I would love to have a cherry SWB with the same setup. With todays gas prices, this setup would be the hot ticket to actually drive around rather than waste time and money at the pumps.

4bt/465/205 with 3.08 geared 10 bolts. That's a mileage master. Alhough I do see where you are going with the 250
