I am looking to play MP3s with my stock head unit in my '03 S-10.

What are my options?

I wasnt impressed with the FM modulator... but that was 10 years ago the last time I checked it out.

Any help?

I do not have an iPod. But, may just get one for this idea. Since I can then take it into work also.

But, how does the FM modulation sound?

Any other ideas?

I am currently working with an *old* pentium laptop with built in sound and a wireless card for my mp3s. I just need to find a good place to mount it. I'll take the laptop sound card outputs and hook them to my head unit's external CD inputs, and use the wireless card to copy mp3s from my server at home while it is parked in the driveway.

I have a 'stealth' look with my steroe in my S-10 right now. I dont want an aftermarket radio... hence trying to get a MPS player work with the stock radio.

well, i just returned my i pod because it sounded like [censored] through the fm modulator. so i got a new head unit, and will buy a cheaper mp3 player just for runnning. i wasnt impressed at all with the ipod.

FM modulator's suck, but this thing I got my truck will let me run everything through the factory head unit, with no FM modulator, should be interesting to see how the sound is. My girlfriend uses an FM modulator and I hate it, it doesnt work all that well and doesnt sound that great either. Oh and I got a box from PAC to hook my MP3 player too.
