The dome lights in the Suburban are shot, and I got a new set of headliner boards from a '91 with the spot lamp dome lights, so I had a big hole to fill. Having spent thousands of hours in 4x4 and 6x6 Cougars, I have always liked the dome lights so I hit eBay and picked up two NOS lights and put them in.
They come wired weird, so I fixed that, 3d printed some brackets out of ABS on the Taz6, and screwed them in. They hang down about 1/2" more than the stock circle dome lights, but about the same as the spot lamp setup. Now I have red for TEOTWAWKI, and I will be swapping in LED bulbs too. Hopefully I will have the headliner recovered soon and be looking good.
