Did a tune up last wknd on the K5. Replaced plugs, wires, cap & rotor, egr valve and o2 sensor. Everything replaced was OE except I used an MSD cap and rotor. Noticed the coil was a little old and corroded. Would the MSD street fire coil be ok to use? it says its just a "better" OE replacement that is a direct swap....??:dunno:

Mine is working okay I got mine onsale at autozone for like 20 bucks. Didn't see any improvement over stock, and the MSD will rust as well just and FYI.

My OE coil looks to be the original, so i figure why not replace it since im replacing everything else and it looks worn out. I can get a msd coil from autozone pretty cheap, i was just wondering if they would cause any harm since im running stock ac delco plugs and wires or if theres any more benefit from it
