Blazer bash prep is in full swing, parts are rolling in and I'm in the garage almost every night. Currently sitting in one of the yota seats on the floor in the garage waiting for paint to dry.
I picked up some steel from Metal supermarkets and built a harness bar for the shoulder belts tonight, also installed the eye bolts and lap belts. That aught to make the wife much more comfortable in the truck.
I cut out the floor around the shifters, I need to build a new tunnel cover and boot setup. I'm having a hard time finding universal shift boots that will work for me. I'd like to use rubber ones that just pop into the floor like a grommet to reduce the amount of hardware involved. If anyone has any suggestions I'll gladly listen.
If anyone wants to swing by this weekend and help, I'll be welding stuff and swapping out a bunch of parts.
I'm really happy with the leather tunnel cover I made...the stuff I used is really think..you could go thinner if you wanted more a boot around the shifters
. I am still struggling with some small stuff on my 91 V3500, but it is running pretty good, and hope to have it ready to this fall.
