We have some stations here with 92 Non Ethanol. Not only great for old cars but has been recommended by all lawn mowers small equipment snow blowers and riding lawn mower shops. Every year I service my friend's riding snow blower, riding lawn mower etc..., fill tank with fuel and stabilizer, run engine with new fuel and oil. Just like I would in a boat for storage. But every year it gives trouble and need to clean fuel system and crud out of carb. But boat does OK? Small engine repair shops say boats and cars were built to handle Ethanol fuel long ago, small engines NOT! They are overwhelmed with work because of this.
Ethanol has a lower storage life, attracts moisture and does horrible things to materials not designed for it. Has less thermal energy so less HP. It is also made from corn and since it's now used in fuel has shorted the market of corn and raised food prices including meat! Fed by corn... using it in a daily driver on modern car has no issues, unless the car sits with half tank for a year... just did one of those and got half gallon of water off bottom of tank. Where fuel pickup is? Car would not run so I pulled a plug and it was wet... with water!!! Had to flush MPFI fuel system... car runs fine with no other repairs.
Last year it (riding snow blower) was stored with Non Ethanol and fuel stabilizer and runs like a top this year. It's the only fuel that has been used in all his equipment on property since we looked into this last year and nothing fails anymore after storage!
Sorry for the rant... back to topic...
