My 74 K5 build

Probably have no way to contact him then? It would be interesting to see how this finished.

Gentle men I'm back wheew it's been a while so I still have the Frankenstein of a blazer I haven't done a whole lot with it since the last post I did drag it up to the bay area with me. So I recently bought another 74 K5 Blazer this one is in nice shape I'll post up some picts I now live only about 2-2.5 hours from the Rubicon so that's exciting I want to see what are your guys thoughts on what I should do with this new blazer so first off it is going to be my daily driver, it's in good shape so I want to kinda keep it looking somewhat factory and by that I mean I would like to avoid cutting the fenders or any modifications that would deduct from it's value. Now I do want to lift it initially I was thinking 6" with 35's so I want to be able to do the Rubicon not any of the super wild stuff I wanna keep the body nice and also Moab so then I was thinking 4" suspension 2" body for a total of 6" but a little more wheel clearance. What do you guy's think? that's going to be first things first eventually want to put the 14 bolt that I have under it in the rear and lock that up and eventually 4 link it. I have not thought too much at all about doing anything with the motor tranny or tcase. See I have gotten married and this is my plan to get the wife to encurace me to get back to work on Frankenstein if I can get her out a few times and we have some fun she may realize she likes it and hoping she will encourage me to get back to work on it ;) wish me luck. I want to get the 14 bolt and a dana 60 under the front but I don't have the 60 yet so I'll have to work on her a bit before I can pick one up I'm sure. so yeah that's where I'm at. Glad you guys were enjoying the last build and hopefully with any luck I'll be back at it but in the mean time it will be smaller projects on my daily driver.

If you really want to follow the KISS principle, I would think going to 6" suspension kit would be simplest and cheaper to go. However, I'm not really sure on the cost difference.
Glad to see and another full convertible square body.

Yeah i'm not for sure yet but most everybody is pro 6" gonna do some more research on the B52's I won't be home for a month so I have time to do research and decide what I really want to do.

Go with a 1" body lift instead of a 2".

Yeah just figured I would change out the body mounts I have been looking all over trying to figure out as much as I can with the B52 swap I'm leaning heavily that direction as of right now but I have to try to get everything all figured out as I don't want my daily driver to be down for an extended period of time Diy4x already has a lot of the bracket's pre-fabbed I'm just not really sure about the steering at this point I would like to go high steer to keep the steering as protected as possible and crossover still looking at all that then I'm thinking 56"s in the rear like most do I did order a set of steel wheels and a set of 35"x12.5"x 17's Maxxis Razers, and the wife said I could get a little Hobart mig when I get home so I will be able to fab a lot of my own stuff after that. Man I'm stoked to get home and get rolling on this thing. Stay tuned

I might have a lot of those suspension brackets for sale soon and some 57" springs and he shackles
