My 96 Burb Backup lights won't work

Just a guess since I don't own anything that new LOL but maybe a ground or the reverse switch?

the switch is on the tranny for these models now. and it is over the selector shaft on driver side. also be aware that the factory plugs are glued in on most of them. and the replacement switch doent come with them and you will need to get them also. all 3 parts are avalible at the dealer. and the 2 plugs will cost almost as much if not the same as the switch. and the new plugs are all white wires so cut 1 at a time and reatach them and co on to the next.

this is only if the switch is bad. but i just wanted to tell you about this just in case. and if the switch is bad some times the dash indicator wont work in that spot also.
