Sweet Bumper Dude!!!!!!
One question? How in the Hell are you going to get that thing out of the Garage?
By the looks of it, that front axle is almost on the ground! Once you put a rim or tire on it, your cab is going to be in the rafters!!!!! Just curious! I'm sure you have a way! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I've got the front suspension unloaded right now. I changed out the springs and moved the axle forward and converting to crossover at the same time. I've got some real small tires that just barely gets it in. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Nice bumper...where did you get it??!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
looks nice on your truck, Matt!
Why I got it from 4x4Iron! The best offroad armor place in the world! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
Looks awesome!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Can't wait to see your rig when its completed. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
BTW, who's face is partially shown in the second pic? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
what was the cost on that bumper...and would it be possible to bring it in a little closer to the grill? that thing looks sweet tho
What are you gonna do with your old bumper? Forsale? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
You'd have to ask Butch on the cost. I had him build it to fit an Warn 8274 as I plan on getting one in the future. It has better approach angle than the Warn Classic that I was using.
That is an example of my Photography skill. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
My old bumper was ruined. It was a warn Classic and I had stripped the ends off on stuff and modified the center section to get more clearance, so its basically trash.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif
What are the relective walls for?
Its the style of the insulation. the walls are cement and those are 5/8 thick panels that have the foil on each side with insulation in the middle. The idea is that any heat gets reflected back in. It works too. It also reflects the light around pretty well.
Sure got there fast. I guess it traveled over the weekend. Glad you like it. I did not know how far your fenders were cut so I left the ends pretty long. If you want to shorten them I can send you some caps for the ends.
Its fine. I've got it painted and mounted now with the roller fairlead on. the roller fit perfect but blocks the use of the clevis mounting points. So I'll have to get the other style.
Your shackle should fit in there with a roller fairlead. I tried it before I welded it all up. You have to stick the shackle in first and bring the pin from the outside of the truck going towards the middle and the shackle will touch the vertical roller. This should hold it at enough of an angle to keep it from clanking constantly. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
