For some reason, my subs sound like they distort if the stereo even gets a little bit loud. I have dual 10" pioneers in a hatchback type sub box. they make some good noise without everyone else hearing it on the outside... they're connected to a 200X2 Urban amp, which is hooked up to the pre-amps on a pioneer DEH-2300. All 4 other speakers sound really good, but when I added the subs, for some reason the system just doesn't sound as good as without them. It seems to only distort in the mid range... with the custom EQ programmer, I can put the high and low levels at max and it won't distort... but when I put the mid range up, it starts to howl a bit.... any way I can stop this from happening? should I get a better amp? Do I need some kinda coushon between the subwoofer and the box itself? Homepage of Porky & Stinky ".. Sanatarium.. leave me be..."
