well i have had this blazer parked in my driveway for about a year the tranny blew and now ive decided to do something cool with it so here goes
PIC-0215.jpg

PIC-0217.jpg

i started cutting the body off and looking for a pickup
PIC-0224.jpg

well i found the pickup its a 82 k20 has a 14 bolt rear and a crappy 10 bolt front but it also has an sm465 and np205 so im happy i took it home for 250 it had a front clip and doors when i brought it home but i scrapped em cause the doors were holey and im putting a square style front clip on it
PIC-0230.jpg

well i got the cab off and scrapped the pickup frame all i need is a clutch and flywheel then i can put this between the rails of the blazer frame
PIC-0231.jpg

im gunna rebuild the 205 and im also going to convert it to fixed yoke. after i get the tranny bolted to the engine the cab will go on the blazer frame and ill go ahead and make the rear cab mount.

heres the blazer chassis its a 4 barrel 350 im kinda worried ill have troube smogging the trazer because the pickup had 2 barrel carb but we will see what happens if anyone here knows what may happe with that let me know ill keep yall updated

well ive been working on it a little the past week its been slow because ive had to wait for a clutch and flywheel from the auto parts store and now i have to wait longer because i had to order the flywheel bolts since i switched from automatic to manual on the blazer chassis the bolts are different length also i need the bolts that hold the clutch onto the flywheel would i be okay just using some grade 8 bolts from ace? thanks

wow, you must have sucky auto parts stores around you to not have an old chevy clutch setup in stock.

i got my flywheel to crank bolts from summit, they ship quick, and just used grade 8 bolts for the clutch to the flywheel.

Subscribed. Welcome to the militia.

What are your plans for the truck? YOu buildin it to wheel or for the street?

strictly wheelin but i want to be able to drive it to the trail and back. that blazer you can see in the background of some of the pics is my dd and im sick of breaking stuff on it when i wheel and then im out my dd so im building this im going to do 64's rear and 52's front and i want to do 40 inch swampers with 5.13's we will see though im going to be working alot on the cab currently because the floors are rusted through its going to be a fun project

Looks like your having fun. Out of curiousity, what was the story with the original blazer body? I wish I could find a tub as solid as that one looked.

ya that blazer body was absolutely perfect i put it on craigslist for 50 bucks and nobody bit so i cut it up and scrapped it it was a shame but i had the city on my ass to get rid of it so i had to
