I know this is a long shot, but I don't know what to look for. I replaced the battery and the truck turns over, but will not fire up. It turns over as if nothing is wrong. I can hear the fuel pump kick on and the spark plugs seem ok. I was told it could possibly be the distributer cap being that I never replaced it or replaced the plugs... keep in mind it has a crate engine with only about 40,000 miles. I put 99,000 on my other car without replacing any plugs or anything to do with the spark and I never had any problems like this. The engine is a Ram Jet 350 fuel injection and the truck is a 1990.

What should I look for? I'm open to anything.

Check with a 'noid light if the injectors are pulsing as it's cranking. You may have a dead ignition module, blown fuse, you name it.

x2 ignition module is what i would check, i know it sounds stupid but check if you have fuel.:doah: It happens to the best of us.

check if you are getting gas to the carb or throttle body.

I'd say either the ignition coil, or the control module. I've had both go bad, so if you can spend the cash, change both at once.

The ignition would be a good idea and yes it has gas. When it's down to 1/8th than it would need gas, but it's a little over half right now.

I'm pretty sure they want you to check at the carb or throttle body:wink1:

I put up this question weeks ago, why is it up here now? The plugs can distributer cap needed to be changed by the way. Right now my truck is out of my posession because it has been stolen.
