narrowed truggy hood hinge mounting.....

I have a vision for what Im going to do here, looks good on paper but does anyone have thier actual hinges still working after narrowing? if so, got pics? of the underside that is? if there is a better way than what im planning id like to know /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My hinges were removed as part of the mounting area was cut off. Since the hood also now pulls back over the cowl area, I didnt see a good way to mount hinges. I wouldnt mind hood hinges though.

Hinge setup on my dad's dirt track car. I am gonna do the samething on my K5. My hood isn't narrowed but will be skinned.

Could you use a jeep-style hinge?

Use late model cowl mounted hinges. Fairly easy to move them around. I'm still using them in the stock location, but they could be inboarded without trouble...
