what the heck kind of a connector does the fuel sending unit take for the power side...it looks like a straight pin, with no threads or anything to retain the connector onto it?

Any ideas?

yep its a funny gm thing.

i have peen a bullet conector opened up and stuffed down on the pin before.

I tried the bullet connector, didn't work too good for me. I was going to solder a wire to the brass, copper, or whatever pin. Please post up if you find something, so I can get one too. :deal:

I think its the same connector as the factory brake proportioning block. the one for the brake light in the dash. Looks the same?

I'll check that out Rick....I got a prop valve end I won't be using!

It's a goofy looking thing that just pushes onto the pin, the wire comes out the side of it.

Zimmer, If you don't find something let me know. I have many a harness around.

If you need one I can cut mine off the blazer since I'm using a fuel cell, mine is just dangling now

You can buy them at a parts store now--they have all kinds of repair ends for harnesses now ...I've used ones off starter soleoids off older jeeps, they had a terminal just like the one on GM sending units on the bottom of the solenoid for the neutral safety switch wire..
