Ok so I removed the old perches. Measured their locations and they were spaced exactly the same 7" from the brake backing plate and 10 3/4" from where the axle tube goes into the diff. So the dilemma and question is my wheels were never quite equal as far as measured with a gravity string at the wheel wells. Should I make the wheels equal with the body or place the perches equal on the axle tube? Can the drive shaft handle being nugged a bit over to the pass side or should it be as straight in line with TC as possible? I'm in the middle of this right now so any help/info would be appreciated

Thanks Chris.

How far off center are the wheels to the body? I'd be worried that could be fixed with the body mounts...

id center them and deal with it through your body mounts. drill out the holes on the frame part of your body mount and move as needed, then retighten

look like 14ff 3 3/8 radius perches.

factory is only 2 side . and that's crappy tin stamped ext 14ff and bigger . but there still 2 side welded.

I'd weld the two sides that are radius'd. Start with getting them straight and on dimension, and get some good sized tacks at the corners you can weld to.

Those shouldn't be welded. You should call me on Tuesday and I can figure out why you didn't recieve them for a 12b. Then I can replace them and get the right fit.

Thanks! That's what I had decided upon doing, but Damn these things seem to always happen on the long weekends when you just want to chug along with the project. Guess I'll just go to the beach
