Need advice on a frame swap?

I have a 87 1/2 ton 4x4 with cracks on the frame. My buddy has a frame of a 84 1/2 ton 4x4 would everything fit on the 84 frame? Also what is the easiest way to swap the cab I here that's the hard part?

Those frames should be the same. As for swapping cabs, call all your friends and provide free beer.

Only difference between those two years is the mounting holes for the tranny/t-case crossmembers. Nothing you can't fix by simply redrilling.

Everything else is the same.
