Installing a second tank on my M1008 and I've been looking for a filler neck with the larger diesel opening. no luck so far with LMC, classic, paddock, brothers. Anyone know where to get one? thanks in advance.

on my brother's conversion, he pulled the filler off the truck and attacked it with a holesaw... it works great now, and the smog nazis here didnt have issue with it... so go to a junkyard and grab one

AFAIK, the CUCV's have a unique filler, so you'd hafta get one from another CUCV. OTOH, I *think* the pickup ones are interchangeable left-to-right, so you could get another fairly easily.

There's a guy here who parts CUCV's ... search for "CUCV shackles", should find him. Mudhog or muddog or somesuch.

You could send me an email to [email protected] and tell me what all you need as I am parting a 85C10 diesel and all the diesels Civilian and CUCV have the same large mouth filler.
That is not correct... the CUCV has a larger filler neck than the civilian diesels.

Do you just need the filler neck, or the need part of the bedside and door too?

ive already got the twin tank bed, but only the pass side tank is hooked up. it looks like it has a gas filler neck cuz the guy tried to cut it to make it work, but it just looks ghetto. im trying to fix all the things this guy messed up:doah:

And if you haven't got a second fuel door already, think about doing this with a Blazer or Suburban tank between the rear frame rails...
