Installed new 3.4 V6 in friends 97 4runner. Book says to prime engine with oil, just to crank over with ignition disconected for short durations at a time. At what point should oil be filling up the oil filter, I assumed imeadiately. mobil 1 oil outside temp 57deg. cranked over for 10 times 4sec duration nothing yet. keep going or I have a problem? thanks in advance.
