I have an opportunity to buy a D60 and 14BFF from a friend of a friend for $800. I currently have stock 10b on my truck with 35's. I have a dream one day of building my truck up, moving to 38's and axles etc but I am wondering if this is a killer deal or not.

How much will I be looking at to rebuild these axles and lock and posi them. I think they are 4.10's as they came off a 3/4 ton.

I haven't seen any deals around for axles despite people saying how cheap they can be found.

if it's for sure a Dana 60, then it's worth $800. The rear is a bakers dime-a-dozen.

If it's a 3/4 ton, then it's only a D44. Double check that before you do anything. The rear is very common, and pretty cheap.

D60 has bolts built into it for the spring perches, at least by the pumpkin. It also has 4 bolts for the steering arm. Just so he can check....

If so, and they aren't THRASHED, ie you could un them now but they aren't exactly the right gear/open etc... a D60 around here is $800 easy.

I got confirmation that it is actually a D60 so I think I am going to go for it. Gonna be a while before I can do anything with them, but I don't think I can pass this up.
