need help so parents dont kill me

From the sound of it the frame is going to be junk and the truck will never drive the same I would find a 75 and swap all your current parts to the new vechicle.

Be aware a pre-78 body isn't gonna just drop onto a post '78 frame. Ideally you'd find a good straight rust free roller and swap your good drivetrain parts onto it.

When I went to cali to get my car, driving there and back with the car (so empty trailer there) was half the price of shipping it

thats just it, truck drives fine. ive been driving it all year, steering wheel is 90* off due (im pretty sure) to a bent drag link. but other than that, rides fine, drives strait, dosnt pull one way or the other. ive done several hour+ long trips to the cabin to haul firewood and junk to the dump. no issues. so im pretty sure the frame is fine, but the front clip is off kilter for sure.

yeah i talked to Colby, he said it was pretty strait forward, but the middle body mounts where the rear passenger feet are require some fabrication. and you need a different steering column, but other than that, said it was pretty easy.

ok, so posting these here so i can find em again when i get to work...

the 74 is promising... ill need to talk to the guy, but swapping out a bent pushrod is a no brainer, ive got a set of sbc pushrods out back i could take down, might be able to get it running and drive it home. looks to be in fairly good shape. even has wagon wheel rims ;)

so heres my question, ive got a set of 6in BDS lift springs for the 86, would they fit on a 74? or would i need to sell those and get new lift springs?
