I was given a dual tank switching valve without instructions from someone who got rid of their truck and I bought a GM dual tank switch. The switch has 4 connectors on the back, 3 alike 1 slightly different arranged in a square. Can some one tell me how to wire this up? This will be going on my M1008, thanks in advance.

i would guess that it would be the three the same would be one to each sending unit and one to the gas guage and the other would be a ground. but that is just an educated guess. ill have to see what i can find out and get back to you.

Since my switch only has 4 prongs on the back and I've read posts for wiring switches with 5 or 6 prongs, do i have the wrong valve? (or the wrong switch for this valve) My valve has only one connector to it, should it have more to select from the 2 tanks sending units for a 4 prong switch?

I don't know if this will help you out any, but here is a wiring diagram from my 90.
