Need VIN tag rivets

I think with the new change in smog laws, VIN swapping in Ca. is going to be a bigger problem. As a result, increased law enforcement scrutiny. The police won't be as concerned about older trucks being stolen as they will about people getting around smog laws.

In my younger days I used a whole bunch of VIN rivets to hold a door together after I patched it together. They're pretty stout critters. I didn't have anything that was strong enough besides those rivets and I didn't have a welder.

The easy thing to do is to cut the rivets from underneat with a dremel tool then you can just glue the rivets to the VIN plate and then glue the VIN plate to the dash. On old **** all that matters is that your insurance matches the vehicle's VIN... they don't care otherwise.
