Needs some help.... 72’ passenger seat mount/brackets

Looking for some info on the passenger seat mounts... the old man swapped out the seats along time ago and some master fabricator made some shit mounts. And by by master I mean shade tree idiot with a welder that kinda worked.

Seat sits a few inches taller than the driver side and isn’t even square

I’ve been searching but can’t seem to find a replacement. I’ve been contemplating taking these mounts out and cutting them down. But would much rather find an old set. Any help would be appreciated.

They are incredibly rare which means when you do find them, they are expensive.

I was going to say the same thing… if you like the seats that are in it modify what you go to make it work. But you might get lucky and find factory stuff if you wait. Or pay.

Yea, didn't catch that. Those aren't original seats. But the seat brackets look pretty close

I can live with the seats they are pretty comfy.... it’s the passenger side tilt up bracket that’s not right.

It need to be lowered by a few inches

I think the seats were out of a van or motor home.... not sure. Seats I can live with... the brackets are just whacky, way to high and out of square. I will need to pull them out and see what I can do to modify.

Anyone have pictures of the 72’ mounts?

Decided to just fabricate a solid mount until I decide what to do about seats. Will post pictures when I get them built and installed.

I wish I had a picture of the stock one but it’s really just a sheetmetal bracket with a few holes in it.

Found one on motor city..... looks to be right. But the main issue right now is the seat is 3 inches taller than the driver seat. I don’t want to start lowering bracket until we are 100% sure what we want to do with seats. Need to hit up a couple junkyards and see if we can find.

I'm pretty sure there is a slight height difference between 1st and 2nd gen mounting point for the back of the seat so it's interesting they are listing them as one.
