New 14 Bolt Spool Available

I have it and so does anyone else who sourced their axles from a CUCV. Other than that I've never seen factory 4.56 and up carriers. You're right, they are rare but I doubt as rare as you think. I still think its reasonable for them to not produce the 4.56 and up spool, you're right, not enough demand. Hell it took them long enough to come out with one at all lol.

4.56 was available factory but it's rare.

Everybody that changes to 4.56 up generally uses the thick gears anyway....the thin 5.13s are sometimes on a 3 month long backorder from what I understand.

My buddy has a pulling truck and he stripped a set of thin 5.13s. Instead of waiting three months he swapped in a 4.10 and down carrier and bought thick gears. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Why is it they don't make lower than 5.13s for the 14 bolt?? I doubt its a ring gear issue with too few teeth I mean its a 10.5" ring gear. There is no "doing away with the 4.56 up carrier" cause who produces one? If you get one its not a new piece, well unless it was made 20 years ago and never installed. I'm heavily considering getting one of those spools for my 14 bolt to reduce weight just a little.
