Found a smoking deal on a Direct-Lift Pro Park 8 PLUS LONG . This is the longer version which is taller and longer. Lift was like brand new, just a little dusty. Used the Army truck to go get it. The 15 foot ramps stick out quite a bit even with a long bed with tailgate down. Weight was 2100lbs so it sagged pretty good with the rear F150 springs. Made it home safely and got it mostly together. I'll move it to the 4th car bay with the large caster wheels once its together.

What it looks like when its together...

Awesome! Thats my ultimate goal once I build a detached garage in the backyard.

Whats the length and width of that outside of post to outside of post?

So does the 4th car bay not have the overhead door? I was curious how high the ceiling is in your garage.

Based on what ive read, i think you need a minimum of 12-13’ of height to fit 2 cars (depending on car height of course). They sell kits to raise the garage door channels and garage door motor to be “high clearance”.

Here's the measurements. I was going to haul this as one piece but the posts were barely too tall to fit through the door so had to take it apart.

No the 4th bay has no door. Its basically a 3 car wide garage wtih the middle bay 2 car lengths. My ceiling height is 13 feet if I recall. Even 12 is enough for two cars. Lifted trucks is another story.

Correct. Most garage doors need the openers that mount to the garage spring rod and extended to the top of the ceiling. I have a light thats above the lift that I might move.

This will basically turn my 4 car garage into a 5 car. This lift is normally $2900 and I got it for $1600. Seems like the other manufactures offer similar designs.

Okay, I see. It's not necessarily designed for maintenance, but more for storage. I'll have to measure my ceiling height. It's gotta be between 11 and 12 feet because my 10ft step ladder isn't tall enough for climbing into the attic access. I was thinking some day it would be cool to have a lift in it, but it might not be high enough.

So far I'm digging the design and how good the powder coating is holding up. Not cheap. The normal 8k lift is $2499, the long version is $2899. I would have made a detour to your house and tell the friend you lost it... :D

It does come with a super thick jack tray that goes in the middle so you can do tires, brakes, etc. You can also get fancy and order a rolling jack or 2 that goes in the middle.

@Shawn i used his truck and my old boss's trailer so i dont think that would work . and i dont need one anyway .

this one will be holding / stacking a nice pair of vettes .

Also good for doing suspension work where you need the weight of the vehicle on the wheels before tightening things down.

This is whats going on this lift for storage. Even though there is drip trays, the car that leaks the most will go on bottom. LOL :)

Regardless if the car leaks or not we use plastic sheeting over the car on bottom. They all leak at some point......

Sweet. I have a 10' garage. If I come across a nice 2 post unit I'm reclaiming some of the upstairs apartment lol!

A lift is one of the best things you can have in your shop. I just got a 2 post in mine this summerView attachment 315307
Thats the best kind to get for working on cars. I noticed direct lift sells a 2 post model for $1900 which isn't bad. Nice garage space! Whats upstairs?

just watch your self on the quality level of a lot of these 2 post lifts so cheep in price . there cheep for a reason and its not good sometimes .

i have a eagle lift but its the low wend china unit about like the one you posted a link to and i hate it but it was here when i moved in the place . cant keep the arms level with equilizing cables / super cheep hardware / lift arms were not welded up square and 1 arm is almost 3/4 of a inch high off the floor compared to the rest of them .

found a youtube video of them testing one exactly like mine and i was scary and almost dead nuts on how mine is at times .
