Well wasnt really looking for another truck but Ive always liked the 70's f250 Highboy's.

My dad called me and told me about the truck, told me I could get for cheap. So we go look at it and its a 74 f250 Highboy with a Stuhl box bed on it, guy said he would take $350 for it or it was going to get hauled off to the scrap yard next week so I told him Id take it.

Supposed to have a 390 in it but its got a sm435/divorced 205 and d44hd with ram-assist steering. As far as I can tell its all original down to the split rims :doah: on the passenger side. Will have more info on it when I get it back to the house.

Only pic I got of it....

Nice man. Looks like my ex-FIL's red F150 with that flatbed. Lots more of that truck left though. His is about 1/3 gone from rust.

Thanks guys, its going to be interesting to mess around with.

Looks like a good solid truck, especially for the price :waytogo:

Even though it's a Furd, the 70's models were pretty good looking.

Got the title put in my name, it would be sitting in my yard but I didn't want to go get it with this snow on the ground.

When they asked mileage he said around 68k but title says 74k in 1986, he said that must have been a guess on the high side because he knows it dont have that much. He only used it to get firewood.

He said it was originally bought by a coal company in WV so Im guessing the bed has been on it since new, the bed is welded to the frame.
