[/ QUOTE ] Well, a dana 44 isn't much by it's self, but in combo with a 14 bolt FF rear, then it's okay up to a certin point.

the next best thing is a dana 60, the best thing is a dynatrac dana 60 /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Next best thing to a 60 is my used partial Dana 60!

Dana 44 or 10 bolt with chrom-molys and ctm's, warn premium hubs. Basically all the toughest components you can buy. It gets pretty spendy but you might find some good deals.

There are some custom made 12 and 14 b fronts. But nothing factory. The gap between the 44 and 60 is pretty large.

lurk in the ford forums and find a guy who is ditching the Dana 50 from his superduty for a D60. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif you'd have to do a t-case swap, but hell, that ain't a big deal.

A dana 50 sucks just as bad as a 10 bolt or D44. It has big u joints but the same size ring/pinion.
