due to the crappy economy and my shrinking paychecks i am selling some of the fleet:mad:
ex gov. truck. 155k. 350 tbi, engine does not leak at all. 465/205. 3.73s. no options
the bed and cab are very straight. fenders have a couple dents. repairable
hood is kinda beat up. front doors will need repairs where the plaques where attached. 1 dent in the top of the tail gate
runs and drives very good. shifter is a bit sloppy, but shifts nice. all the lights, wipers, heater, signals, ect work. wiring is good. interior is nice. has rubber floor. tires are 60% plus. studded 265/75/16s.
has a newer radiator, water pump, clutch master and slave. newer belts too.
the bad
needs paint now. or it's going to get rusty. needs rh exhaust manifold gasket. trans and t-case leak a little. grill is broken out.
i cannot tell you how nice and unmolested this truck is.
$3750 obo

Yeah, real clean slate... Even better with the SM465.... Just for the hell-of-it lets see the TA, 70-73 were hands down the sickest of all!

awe man, you just got this one....:(

i usually buy and sell a few cars a year for profit, but this one i actually wanted to keep.
i had a plan. we will call it plan A
buy crew cab. part out or sell k5. make the crew nice. new paint, dash pad, lift and 11.0xzl michelins. then later a 383. use it to tow my rubicon to the trails. the rubicon would be pretty much trail only after that.
but plan A isnt working. i cant get find a buyer for the k5 and in reality i don't want to sell it. i've had it for over 10 years, and it's way too nice to part out and scrap.
so plan B
keep everything. get a bigger trailer and tow the k5 to the trail when i don't take the rubi.
but over the last 4 months my paychecks have been shrinking. now thats it's summer time, work should be busy as hell. but it's not, it's slow, and now i'm worried about how slow it will be next winter.
so plan C
sell the crew cab, and the trans am. that should be enough money to pay off my rubicon and free up some money every month. but now my family doesn't want me to sell the trans am. it's rare and sorta 1 of a kind. so i think i need a new plan.

I WANT TO SEE THE super duty!
Well, you gotta do what u gotta do and life goes on, right...
I've had to see all kinds of stuff I loved and thought I'd never get rid of, but at this point I dont regret anything much except my old f350, I have dreams about it :o...
Good luck with what got goin on.

im going this week to get some pics of it. it's stored at a friends house about an hour from my house. i'll post em up.

don't suppose you want nice white lifted standard cab do ya :D

what do you do for work? are you in the trades? we've been busy, but working for much much less.

not interested in trades. i'm still hoping to keep it.
i work for nwjeep in beaverton. we are steady, but with just little stuff, not like when i used to upsell 10 hours on 1 car and the customers only concern was how soon they could have it back.
now it's more like i fix the original complaint and maybe 1 small upsell. not really less cutomers, but less hours from each. but thats what happens in the car business.

i hear ya. we are doing the same amount of work, only for less, oh and can you throw that in too... you know, and if you say no, you don't work.

its going to be a long turn around. i think everyone is learning to get by with less.
