Just finished putting the K5 back together, and it won't start. Checked and no power to soleniod on crank. New rail mounted fuel pump runs and system has pressure. No other changes to TBI system. Can someone point me to a few things to check? Paul

So you checked for power at the purple "start" wire and got nothing? If so make sure that the trans is in park, then check the nuetral safety switch and then the ignition switch.

Thanks

I checked the ignition switch. Truck has manual tranny, so I don't think it has a safety switch. I there a switch that detects fuel pressure then allows power to starter? I notice that the fuel pump runs at least 10 sec, then shuts off. Should run 2-3 I think. Nothing changed on TBI except new frame mounted fuel pump. Fuel at pump on tank side for sure. I'll check for fuel at the TBI. Is it possible I hooked the fuel lines up backwards? Just to check...my return line is on the passenger side of the throttle body and the feed line is on the driver side. Can someone verfiy this? I know its something simple, because it ran fine when when I took it down for a re-build. Paul

Did you check for power on the purple wire on the ignition switch when in the crank position? Also manual trans do have a nuetral safety switch as well but it is located on the trans itself not on the bottom of the steering column.

Yes the passenger side fuel line is the return line and is the smaller size line.
