Not a Chevy, but need help regardless,,,please?

I have a P.O.S. 1990 Mazda Protege here i'm working on, changing out the driver side half shaft,,,how the heck to i free the c-clip on the inside to get the shaft out??? I did this a very long time ago with the help of a friend, but cannot remember for the life of me, how we did it.....

Any help from those professionals would be greatly appreciated,,,, thanks.

No c-clip just a retaining ring.
Just use a prybar against the shaft next to the case and pop it out.
To install it just push hard and it will pop back in.
