I know alot of people get free phones and then upgrade later to a better one. Does anyone have a Nokia 6030 laying around that they wouldn't mind parting with to a CK5 brother that lost his while fishing? I'd be happy to cover shipping. I still have a charger, just need the phone with a battery. I will buy a sims card when I find one.

I actually have one, not laying around, I am using it, it's a great phone for the price.
I do have other older Nokia phones that work if you need a working phone.
What sevice provider are you with?
I have from Cingular, Tmobile, unless you can unlock them they have to stay with the same provider.
 
I have cingular. I have an old flip phone but I am horrible wth them and end up breaking them. I had the old 6030 for 2 years and I couldn't break it for nuttin'. It actually fell off of my car doing 45 and went into about 6 pieces. I figured it was a goner and I put it back together for a proper barial (sp) but it came on and never missed a beat. Cracked the lense but that was about it.

I had mine for a week when I dropped it and it broke the screen, it was only 3 feet drop but it killed the screen, so i went on Ebay bought a screen for $14 shipped from Hong Kong and replaced it, it's been doing fine since.:D
 
I have an old 6010, would need a sim chip for cingular as I took it out and put it in my new phone.
 
I'll keep the 6010 in mind. I have the car and wall charger and the handsfree plug for the 6030. I will give it a day or two and let you know. Beggers can't be choosers RIGHT!

Have you searched ebay or craigslist yet? Should be a little bit of everything on those sites.

most nokias have the same charger, the 6030 and all the ones I have are the same
 
I don't have a phone for you but I do have some good news. Cingular will give you a new sims card free. I lost my phone and had to start using my old one again. Went into the local Cingular store with it and they hooked me right up. Kept my old # as well.
