That VIN shown is 1982, but I think cruise on the stalk started in '84? The radio could be anywhere in that range, I think. Didn't the 8-hole aluminum wheel debut in the early 80's?

Wipers on the stalk started in '84. Prior to that point you could get just cruise on the stalk, with wipers on the dash. I don't know when that started, but my '82 had that combination.

My '83 has intermittent wipers in the dash and cruise on the stalk. Mine I'm pretty sure is a barn find odometer read 61,000 when I got it and it was an old grandpas truck that had been parked for many years. No way to verify anything though. The kid I got it from inherited it and didn't care for the 6.2 that ran poorly so he parked it. I got it for $700.

front bumper is 83-up with no turn signal/markers in it .

grill trim is 83-84 only note the cross bar in the headlight buckets .

agree its a hog poge of parts . maybe back in the day it was clean and parts swapped for some reason . but also sure isnt a 10k rig by anymeans . not even here in the north east rust belt .

Guess I should have got more for mine. LOL. 1987 GMC Sierra. Every option available. Run into a light pole at 50 mph. $200 delivered. I parted it out, and helped save at least 15 different squares.

10th vin # is a “C” which is a 1982.
I think it is a 1982 model.
