So I just returned from South Carolina after dropping off a car for my son. Spent 2 days hanging out with my best friend. I had planned to bring my 67 Chevelle home and work on it... eventually.
My friend has a Very nice 91 K5. I even posted it here a few months back when he listed it on Ebay. He tells me to take his K5 cause he doesn't use it and it's in his way :eek1:
Tells me to take it to Blazer Bash and have fun :eek1:
I just need to put some rock sliders on first so I called Kert @ DIY4X to hook me up and he's doing a rush job :waytogo:
91 K5, 1 tons w/4.56's and detroits, 35 spline, high steer, custom Alcans, bumpers, winch, cold AC, on 37's...just about everything you could want. Then he says he's signing the title over to me :dunno:

Will post pics later tonight...right after I sign up for BB12 :D

DUDE!!!! THATS BAD ASS!!! Gotta do something great in return for your bud. Very cool indeed. I'm stoked for ya brother. :waytogo:

Not sure what I could do besides offer him a big hug. He has pretty much everything you could want and won't let me buy anything..except beer :D

sounds like you're going to be buying a lot of beer!

awesome deal though. can't wait to see the pics!

wow, thats very cool. Sounds like a good guy

Now get to make BB without all the stress. Funny how things work out sometimes.

That really is a true friend and must feel assume to go to the bash with your truck that a goood friend gave ya.just a idea gime him a small kit to make a home made brew.I did it a couple time and the beer came out great.

I hope you enjoy the Blazer Bash. I want to see lots of good pictures of the K5 in Moab. You may want to Look at the list of trails you plan on taking it on. Farabees jeep rental had a good list of Approved trails. When I took the Samurai out in 2005 we had a Rental Rubicon ride with us every where, inculding almost all of the "unapproved trails". It just takes careful driving. Moab has a few spots that will bite you in the ass if you are not paying attention. The cool part about Moab is the easy trails have the Best views, and there is a huge pucker factor with some of the shear drop offs. You do not have to go all hard core

You might want to pull the top off, maybe the tail gate before you go. It would make for a much more stable rig. The exhaust fumes kinda suck. It would make the family drive in Arches NP alot more fun.
I love Moab, wish I could Be there with you.

Boy, sounds like a good friend, need to find me a friend like that. :D

Hey, congrats! What a neat guy for sure. You hear stories like this from time to time and it's really cool. I'm sure he is just as excited....but in a different way!

Lets see some pics when you get a chance!

Stats on the Blazer. 37x17x12.50 cooper stt's, tons 4 wheel disks,4.56gears, detroits front and rear, alcans, ORD highsteer, shackles, shackle flip,High angle 1350cv 1410 rear shaft, red neck ram, 2into1 2.5-3 exhaust with crossover in front of oil pan, custom engine cross member, 35 spline stubs and locking hubs, 8274 winch, lineXed inside, all new gm rubber and interior trim, remote start, cold a/c, cruise, 40gal aero gas tank, xm radio, 500 watt amp, 2x12 subs, smittybuilt rear roll bar, high angle slip yoke eliminator on the 241, full size spare on rear swing out, 2 owner that I have had since April of 2000. Had 86000 when I got it. Love the truck. I might have put 50 miles on it in the last three years.
I am sure I left out a few details. It is not the most radical of k5's on the board, but it is one of the super clean, super optioned ones. It is a total waste of a truck for east coast wheeling. I built it when I was competing in arca/Uroc. For years it was my highway truck, if I needed to drive to Atlanta or Charlotte or wherever.
I hope next year I can make the Blazer Bash. I would rather come out for a hunting trip(hint hint)

It should make the BB a nice trip for Bigpappab and family. Still not sure how I got the new job of Chevelle restoration. At least there is some shop space now;)

Well for sure buy him his favorite beer. Take him out to dinner or something. Hell even a good thank you card. I know you know what to do.

I will say that I could not ask for a better friend. We have always jumped at the chance to help eachother, never keeping score, just doing what needed to be done without asking. Not to sound too Bromantic, but Bryan is Greatest person I know. I am honored to have such a great friend.

That`s a great friend. After you buy him several kegs, and a tap, maybe you could take some video of his truck @ BB. Nice truck, I remember the ebay link.
