NP 205 fitment

I searched and I can't find the answer I'm looking for. I know this has been covered but can't see to find it.

I have an NP 205 that is mated to a TH350. Will that bolt directly to a 700R4 or 4L60E? I seem to recall that the trans output shafts were different lengths and needed to be changed. Is that the case?

I believe you'll have to use the th350 adapter with a 2" spacer.

if the tranny is 2wd you cut off a little of the shaft and use the spacer.

or buy a shaft and install it if its already all apart .

I like the 2wd trans option. I wonder what I would need to do to make the speedo work?
