NP205 drive flange and yolk...

Those of you with Chevy late 80's 6bolt style NP205's... How many splines does your input and output shafts have. I want to upgrade my yokes to 1350 or 1410 and I believe there are different spline counts on the 205 shafts.

please help

There is no 1350 or 1410 yoke for the 30 spline front.

The rear output should already be a 1350.
 
OOps I forgot something... The rear was acually a slip yoke originaly and I swaped in a fixed yoke out of a figure 8 case. The front has a drive flange on it. What is my drive flange rated at? would I need a bigger one to get a front 1350cv shaft built?

Yes, you would need to upgrade to a 32 spline front output to run a 1350 U Joint or CV. The stock 30 spline flange uses the 3R CV which is decent but my suspension was beyond it's working limits. It is about the same strength as a 1330 from what my driveshaft guy told me.

Here is some 32 spline swap info I posted up on pirate a while back from when I did mine...


Just swapped my 30 spline front out put over to a 32 spline out of a dodge and thought I would share some info.

First off I thought I might need a different front roller bearing but they are interchangeable.

The thrust washer is also interchangeable

Spicer 1350 yoke part number 3-4-6211-1 (my dealer said they no longer make yokes for "U" bolts? I dunno maybe bull****)

Spicer 1410 yoke part number 3-4-10951-1

National seal # 473468

Must get the 32 spline spline seal though, normally included in a seal set.
 
YOKE, not yolk. Yolk has to do with eggs, not drivetrain parts.
 
i have a ford 205. is there anything usable in it to use on my current 10 spline input 205? i believe i have 1310 or 1350 u joints on it now.
