1/2 ton status
Need help with a leaky tcase. im leaking fluid from between the rear case and the speedo housing (rear bearing retainer housing on the exploded diagram). Im not a genius or anything but i know ill need to put a new seal in somewhere. looking on at the parts diagram the only seals in the area of the leak are the oil seal at the end of the extension housing (probably not it) and the oil pump seal (maybe). After looking at more posts maybe the output shaft bearing but would the shaft bearing cause a leak?
Has anyone dealt with this before? is it a PITA or a 3 beer or less fix? Any help is appreciated.
