I was just thinking back on all the crap the guy selling my truck said to me.

I sort of blew it off at the time because i was to busy looking over the truck, but now im thinking about it all.

The first stupid thing i remember him saying was, "this truck has 400 horsepower"......

Yeah man stock 350 has 400 hp, everyone knows that right?!

Hell, i wish he wasn't lying.

P.s. i would have posted this in the lounge, but i cant post there yet. :)

Yeah, salesmen can be pretty clueless sometimes. When I bought my 1988 Suburban, I asked the salesman what the deal was on it and he told me it had blah, blah, blah, and an OD tranny and rebuilt carb.

Well, the only thing he was right about was the fact that it was a Suburban! The P.O. had replaced the 700R4 with a TH350 trans and it had TBI, not a carb. After that, I just smiled and nodded and ignored everything else he said.

The guy where I got mine said you have to shut the engine off to go into 4wd.

Even more sad is when i first arrived at the dealership the internet sales guy who i was dealing with at first brought in his more experienced friend, and said.

Im gonna bring _ in because he knows more about these k5s.

"yeah it has 400 hp.."

Did i mention that it can also travel through time?

I went and looked at a samurai once at a dealership, it was used. Ad claimed it had power steering. I was thinking aftermarket kit and could have sold mine for what they wanted so I went to look at it.

Popped the hood and looked, stock manual steering box. Said no thanks not interested in it anymore. Sales guys asked why, I said no power steering, sales guy said oh yes it does have power steering.

I looked at him and said really show me the power steering pump and the hoses that go to the steering box?

He must of looked at that engine bay for 10 minutes before I left

Dang, seems like these people dont bother to even try to actually learn anything about the cars they are trying to sell, the only skills they have are deception.. :doah:
