Thinking about rotating the 14 bolt for cv setup. I do some highway driving and want to know if the pinion bearing will get enough lube. What oil level are you guys with cv setups running and do you have any foaming problems.

I overfill mine to keep the front pinion bearing oiled. I have the ORD shackle flip and 6 degree shims and my yoke angle is about 18 degrees, but I am running 9" of lift in the back. It use to foam up bad enough that gear oil would come out of the breather tube. I did a couple of things to help the problem. I added a little transmission fluid to the gear oil to help eliminate the foaming. I also added a plastic see-thru fuel filter to my breather tube and raised it to the fuel filler door level.

    With a 2.5" lift I don't think you will have a problem.

I have an undropped transfer case and app 5" suspension lift and a CV joint DL. Everything seems good. And I ad a leaky pinion seal - man that made a mess so I know there is at least a little lube happening.
