I am going to get a 6.5l oil pump drive to replace the vacuum pump that goes on 6.2l (I will be using the 6.5l serp belt vac pump). The oil pump drives are available with or without RPM sensors.

My question is can I run a tachometer gauge using the oil pump drive with a RPM sensor or is just used for auto tranny computer stuff?

You need an amplifier for it, but yes, it can run a regular tach. The output of that module is 4 pulses per crankshaft revolution, just like the ignition on a V8 gasser.

Hey Mikey (or Max),
Do you have a part number and source for the one with the RPM sensor?
