but I thought hummer wheels were beadlocks, and I got mine this weekend and that look just like a two piece wheel. What do I need and where can I get the stuff to make them beadlocks. Thanks

they use a poly ring to pinch the tires bead out to the rims outer lip. so you need to get some rings aka runflats.

doesn't someone make just a ring with no run flat, I didn't get run flats cause I will only be running 37s for now, and I don't want to bottom them out, or is that not a problem.

the hummers only had 36's and 37's on thiers so I see no prob there. and there are I believe 2 places that make em.

we don't wnat run flats. Wouldn't want to air down your tires then have them not form to a rock cause of this big hunk of metal in there. You just need the rings for inside there. Damn Ican't think where to get some. www.stazworks.com I'm sure you could get them there. The idea is that when you tighten the 2 halves together it pinches both beads between the rim and this inner ring. Effectivelly its a double beadlock.

ok I found some rings but they are kinda pricy, I can get runflats for like 10 or 15 each. Could these be cut down to work for what I need. And what would be an execptable pressure to run the tires at. Last but not least what are you suppose to torque the lock ring nuts to.

if I remember right runflats are magnessium. Definalty cant cut it with a torch and I dont know about a sawzall/bandsaw. There' is a company out there that makes an internal tube that you air up and it does about the same as the stasworks poly ring, I think they are for std rims not the two piece type wheels. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
