I just bought a 91 Jimmy and currently I am going thru it to see what the previous owner did.

I found this area and I have no idea what went here?.....did he cut this hole?.....any guess's?

nah, its a little plug that has a plate over it for the light in the top. youre just missin the plate.

yep, you have a Y connector that runs up into the cab dome light and the other side of the Y goes to the removable shell dome light through that hole. Obijuan right, you're just missing the cover. Junkyard time for you or I might still have my extra cover from my old shell.

I think that's the a.i.r. pump or something. It's a good doorstop.
Useless smog stuff, never had one hooked up before. Not sure what it actually does.

nothing. some trucks have the air pump and some dont, you dont have any capped off air lines on the manifold either, which in my book pretty much prooves the truck never had the air injection.

but those acc brackets are junk, should send them to the al. recycler. Don't worry, I'll take care of them for you.

Its hard finding brackets that have provisions for an air pump

so is the wire routed correctly over/thru like that?

If you have one I would definately buy it

Oh and yes thats where the smog pump goes IIRC

yes, the wiring is correct

if you want me too look, I'm pretty sure I have the cover, screws, and that bolt you need for the shell in my garage

The reason it's done like that is so it can be easily accessed and unplugged when you remove the hard top.

I know I stuffed a second alternator in mine. Eventually it'll be for the onboard welder, but for now it just runs some of the truck stuff to lighten the load onthe main alternator. Did serve as a backup when the primary failed last year.
